Ammar Faiz
Background
Ammar Faiz holds a Master's degree in Engineering (MEng) and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng). After working as an engineer for five years, he left his professional career in 2018 to pursue full-time Islamic studies, beginning in Cairo and continuing in Istanbul.
Studies
He studied Arabic and the Islamic sciences in Oman, Egypt and Türkiye under senior scholars, completing a five-year intensive seminary programme at the Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari Institute in Istanbul. He graduated with distinction, becoming the first British graduate of the Maʿhad, and received teaching licences (ijazat) in the Islamic sciences.
His studies have included a broad range of Islamic disciplines, with particular research into the contingency argument for the existence of God.
Teaching
He has taught Arabic for seven years and currently teaches Arabic, theology and other Islamic sciences across various masajid and institutes in the UK and US.
